During one of those in-between season sessions in which I sit comfortably in front of my PC - downing one too many cookies - reading and observing new sartorial trends, a little voice inside of me went 'yay' as I read that plaid would be the 'it' print this Fall.
With trends, I always adopt the same principle. I try to breathe fashion and exhale style. That is, I don't mind adding a few 'trendy' details, but I don't see why I should compromise my style staples in order to be on point with the latest fashion decisions. So when a trend fits well within my style mantra, I give it a try.
After residing in London for 6 months as well as due to my inclination towards preppy garments, I grew quite fond of plaid printed items. Well, maybe 'quite fond' falls short of describing my love for the pattern since my current wishlist consists, almost exclusively, of plaid pieces.
In this specific entry, I tried to highlight how I intend to wear plaid come the new season. By selecting quite a few pieces, I wanted to show that plaid has gone further than just the school-girl inspired look. If tastefully styled, it can be given a more refined finish.
