Are you having a manic Monday? Join the club. After a weekend of trotting around Covent Garden and Westminster, I'm back to reality. And reality is very hectic today (and the same applies for tomorrow...)
Anyway, I'm sure there'll be time for me to explain the changing nature of my present life. In the meantime, I'm going to focus on the highlight of my weekend. So basically, check out this Zara blazer and admit that it's the best thing you've seen in a while. Come on, you know I'm right. I used to be obsessed with this blazer and whether I'm browsing the Zara in Oxford Street or the fancy one in Avenue Louise, I would always try it on. The fact that I have millions of blazers here and I keep sticking to the same two or three made me opt out of buying it.
Then I went to a local charity store and as I went through their jackets and coats section, I had one of my famous 'omg' moments where I shut any sort of background noise and dizziness takes over as soon as I spot the 'ideal item'. There it was, a perfectly striped boyfriend fit blazer in mustard and white stripes. Remember how I was crazy about mustard and white stripes this time last year? Even my layout featured what, at the time, I considered to be the best pattern to ever hit the catwalk.
Needless to say, I snatched the blazer, tried it on and took it home. Oh, I paid for it too. A fraction of the price tag attached to the Zara equivalent, obviously. This jacket only cost me a fiver.
As you can see in the photo, I've also added a minimalistic black clutch (also similar to a brown one I've been eyeing at Zara for some time). I bought that for two pounds during the same visit to the aforementioned charity shop.
Luck was definitely on my side this weekend.
