As I pack my bags to return to Malta tomorrow - in what, according to my FB news feed, should be apocalyptic climatic conditions - I can't help but think that I do not have the slightest idea of what I want to pack for Paris. In between Paris and Brussels, I should be away for around 10 days, which means that I need to take quite a few bits with me (I need to take a lot of things, yes).
With the faint hope of making my packing decisions as soon as possible, I spent a couple of minutes playing with some pieces on Polyvore, kind of predicting and planning some outfits I might put together dans la capital Francaise.
Whenever I'm at a loss on what to wear, I tend to float (not literally, as I'm not Mary Poppins), towards burgundy and mustard. Many a times, I even end up pairing them together as I did here. I still can't believe I don't have a pair of red or burgundy Dorothy style shoes. I mean, really Lara, really?
Up to a few months ago - maybe even weeks shh! - I would have shivered at the mere thought of wearing a shearling vest - but after seeing the one above at H&M I was sold! Whereas you can't just walk out in a sleeveless shearling vest in 5 degree weather and expect not to freeze, it's a good option to wear for an indoor event. Okay, let's admit that this set was intended to convince myself that I can actually wear a shearling vest with some of my staple pieces. There's an excuse to get it.
And if you were wondering whether plaid would be somehow involved in this post, the answer is yes. Can't possibly stop myself from packing plaid? I won't only be packing it my luggage, I'll be packing it all over my body. Lawl. I don't own a coat like the one above so you're welcome to give me one of them anytime!
