Goodbye, dear London.

I remember writing about me moving to London as if it were yesterday. Now, a couple of months later, it's time to say goodbye to the British capital. I'm no longer a London resident. I have to be totally honest. I've known about my final move away from London for a couple of weeks, but I chose not to disclose anything until (a) I was completely sure about it and (b) the crazy change happened.

I'm sure you're all wondering why I decided to move. Yes, I owe an explanation I guess. Well, in reality I've always been aware that the whole London situation wouldn't last forever. As I had said in an earlier post, London was never meant to be a destination but simply a stepping stone to somewhere bigger and better. It was only a matter of time (and finding a new tenant for our apartment!), and the move would happen.

Living in London for six entire months was a dream. As someone who had never visited this city before, I can't deny having a lot of excitement and a handful of expectations as soon as I settled there. Looking back, I have to admit that the highlight of my stay there was being accepted as press for London Fashion Week in February. Hanging out at Somerset House, chatting to other bloggers, visiting exclusive designer shows: it was something I've always wanted to experience. It was such an eye-opening experience.

Unfortunately, a little part of me saddens whenever I remember that during my six-month period in London, I spent more time in Belgium than at home in the UK. These months were proper busy, or rather, insane to say the least. However, I did get the opportunity to visit some purely incredible places like the magical Covent Garden, the character-rich Brick Lane, the jaw-dropping Oxford Street and the grand Hyde Park

I won't dwell too much on what I've learnt from this whole experience because I feel like I've already covered that in this post. Yet, I just want to reiterate that given the same opportunity, I would definitely do it all over again.

Just in case you are wondering what's next, well, here goes. I'm going to be in Malta for a short span of months. I don't want to stay here for too long. Frankly, I never felt entirely comfortable here. The opportunities are limited and I feel like I did all that I wanted to do already. Yet, it's time to give my bank account a rest (yeah right, like that is happening...) and to recharge before the next big adventure.

Luckily enough, I found myself a great place to live in the meantime. I have my own office and a closet room (yep, that's right!). I will film and write about both very, very soon.
